  • Continue your consent-based education with live workshops from TIE faculty. Workshops previously offered only online will be provided in person.

  • Learn from invited guest artists in the field.

  • Share your wisdom and discuss best practices in consent-based art making.

  • Practice your consent-based craft with live feedback and support in lab sessions focusing on intimacy choreography, intimacy coordination, and other consent-based facilitation.

Details:

  • Registration will open on March 17th, 2025.

  • A limited number of registrations are available due to capacity.

  • Interactive Lab Sessions noted in the session descriptions to have limited participation and observation will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Registration Includes:

    • Swag Bag with Goodies

    • Class Passport for Documenting Diploma Credits

    • Two Diploma Credits for the In-Person Coordination and In Person Choreography Labs

  • Registration costs will be based on a tiered pricing structure to offer affordable options.

  • Group Rate Information: Organizations may request a group rate.

  • Grant/Funding Documentation: If you are applying for a grant or funding from an organization to support your trip to the Symposium, please send us details so we can help provide the needed documentation.

  • Scholarships: Full scholarships are not available for the symposium. However, a discounted rate may be available for those in need.

  • Will I earn credits towards a TIE Diploma?

    • Yes, most sessions will count as credit towards one of the Diploma levels. Participants will be provided with a Symposium Passport to document their sessions for credit towards the varying diploma levels.

  • Should I have taken Best Practices before attending the Symposium?

    • It is not mandatory to have taken Best Practices to attend; however, it will absolutely help you be more proficient in all sessions if you have already taken Best Practices with TIE. If you have not, several Best Practices will be offered this summer before the Symposium.

    • The TIE Best Practices will be reviewed on the Symposium's first day, August 6th, 2025.

  • Refund Policy

    • If you register for the Symposium and find you are unable to attend, you can receive a refund for up to half of your original registration fee until July 1st, 2025.

    • There will be NO refunds processed after July 1st, 2025.

  • How do I submit to share a presentation at the Symposium?

    • Once you register, your confirmation email will include a link to a Google form where you can submit your idea.

  • How do I participate in the Limited Interactive Lab Sessions?

    • Once you have registered, your confirmation email will include a link to a Google form where you can request to be placed in the limited interactive lab sessions. These will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified by email as soon as our team can confirm your assignment.

  • Who are the Special Guest Speakers?

    • Guest Speakers will be announced soon. Keep an eye on social media, and come back here for details.

  • Can I attend for fun and to learn?

    • Absolutely, at TIE, we’re fun!
