Selah Scott (she/they) is a performer, writer, collaborator, and newbie director based in Charlottesville, Virginia. Recently, she has worked with the American Shakespeare Center as Assistant Director for their 2020 SafeStart Season and as assistant Properties Manager for their Holiday season. She also voices the character Mipsy on the podcast Starcrossed and is currently developing several short films to be shot in central Virginia this summer. She has trained with James Madison University, the American Shakespeare Center, Make Trouble Ensemble, and the Powerhouse Training Program at Vassar. She is eager to learn about, and contribute to, the transformation of theatre and performance into more equitable and accessible practices. Outside the world of theatre and film, she is helping to facilitate virtual meetings for the resident-led development of affordable housing neighborhoods with BRW Architects and is a part-time nanny. She loves babies, ASMR, animals, thunderstorms, dirt under her fingernails, and sitting under big trees. She also believes that Black Lives Matter. Duh.
