The National Council for Mental Wellbeing offers this certification, only available to those living and working in the U.S. If you live and work internationally, please contact us to discuss other options.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a public education program for supporting youth ages 12-18. In this workshop, you will practice recognizing signs and symptoms that suggest potential mental health challenges, learn what action steps you can take to support the youth, consider mental health resources, and discuss ways of being a mental health advocate in your community.

Important Notes:

  • This workshop *requires* participants to have cameras on for the entire workshop. This is a requirement from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NCMW). This is not the right workshop for you if this does not work for your boundaries.

  • Attendees must be living and/or working in the USA to participate in this certification.

  • There are no refunds or exchanges for this workshop.

  • Registration for all MHFA Workshops will close 14 days before the workshop.

  • This workshop will make use of the whole 7 hours with short breaks.

  • This certification is specific to the United States. It is granted through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and is not a TIE certification, which does not offer certification in any intimacy specialties.

  • To receive their certification, participants must be prepared to do two hours of pre-work before the start of the live class, as well as a comprehension quiz and evaluation afterward.

  • CONTENT DISCLOSURE
    This training deals with sensitive content, including suicide, self-harm, violence, aggression, substance misuse, overdose, psychosis, depression, anxiety, and occasionally eating disorders. For more information, email mhfa@theatricalintimacyed.com.

    Regardless of price, all participants will receive the same 6-hour workshop and certification from NCMW.

    Space in this workshop is limited by NCMW to ensure the best experience for our participants.

There is no waitlist for Digital Workshops. Classes are first-come, first-serve, and limited in size to maintain educational quality.

We cannot offer refunds or exchanges for this workshop.

There is no TIE prerequisite for this course.
