Anne Schäfer is a seasoned German theater and film actress with over 25 years of experience in the industry. She has been part of numerous successful film and television productions, including a starring role in the series Barcelona Crime. Schäfer frequently appears in experimental films and is renowned for her outstanding performances in independent films showcased at prestigious festivals such as the Berlinale and the Munich Film Festival. Her notable works include Cindy Doesn’t Love Me, Jasmin, Delivered, and Beloved Sisters. In 2022, Anne played the lead role in Talking About the Weather, which premiered in the Panorama section at the Berlinale Film Festival and went on to be featured at film festivals worldwide. Based in Hamburg, Anne is fluent in both German and English. She is also a passionate climate activist and a strong supporter of Changemakers.film, advocating for sustainability within the film industry. In addition to her acting career, Anne became a certified Intimacy Coordinator in 2022, after completing her training with Culture Change Hub under the guidance of TIE (Theatrical Intimacy Education / Laura Rikard & Kim Shively). Committed to improving the standards for filming intimate scenes, she works closely with the German Actors Guild to promote safer and more respectful working conditions.
