Amanda Rose Villarreal is an intimacy coordinator and choreographer with expertise in devised, improvised, and immersive performance. They live in the Los Angeles area, and serve as the Head of Theatre Education at Cal State Fullerton. As well as training performers and educators to utilize consent-based practices and choreographing intimacy for staged productions, Amanda Rose works with immersive performance and larp companies, crafting consent negotiation mechanics for unscripted interactions, tailored to fit the world of the production. 

Amanda Rose earned their PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder. Their dissertation, Unscripted Intimacies: Negotiating Consent in Gamified Performance analyzed consent communication in immersive performance and larp, arguing that creating a consent-based culture extends beyond staging specific moments and into the design process.
