Fat performers move through a world that not only still frequently finds it difficult to imagine fat people in romance narratives, but which often literally isn't built for them. A little foresight on the parts of designers and choreographers can allow fat performers to spend more time focusing on their craft and less time educating and advocating for what they need for their bodies to find the same access to a space and process as their straight-sized counterparts. In this two-hour workshop, participants learn tools and considerations for supporting fat performers. (Note: "fat" is used both in this description and in the workshop as a value-neutral adjective in alignment with the fat acceptance movement.)

The Best Practices Digital Workshop or a comprehensive TIE workshop (i.e. Workshop Weekend) is a pre-requisite for most other Theatrical Intimacy Education Digital Workshops. This ensures that all participants are conversant in TIE's specific approach and vocabulary to ensure educational quality for all participants.
